Lilly Butler Death-Obituary: The daughter of a former Calaveras County firefighter died Wednesday in a head-on crash, officials said. Calaveras Consolidated Fire identified the person as Lilly Butler, whose father was a former captain with the department.
“The Butler family is part of our family,” the fire department said in a release. “We are grieving over this loss and ask everyone to please respect their privacy at this time and keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.”
The fire department told KCRA 3 the crash happened around 2:45 p.m. at Highway 26 and Shelton Road. The other person involved in the crash was sent to the hospital with a head injury.
Butler was a senior at Calaveras High School and was the Amador County Fair Rodeo Queen in 2022.
