winger who played for the Vancouver Canucks, New York Islanders, Philadelphia Flyers, and Montreal Canadiens between 1990 and 2002.

He was unable to attend the team’s First Nations Night in Rogers Arena in 2022 due to flu. He did, however, deliver a virtual speech to the audience.
He had already battled the terminally ill disease. He announced in 2014 that he had been diagnosed with AL amyloidosis.
Al amyloidosis is an uncommon blood condition whose cause is frequently unknown. He was given only a few months to live, but he was later given an experimental treatment.
Surprisingly, after the experimental treatment, he improved and his condition is no longer considered terminal. There have been no reports of him becoming ill as a result of the treatment.
