Eric Lander resigned from the Whitehouse (WH) Cabinet after the investigation revealed that he had violated the policies and displayed inappropriate behavior at the workplace.

According to CNN, President Biden did not request Lander’s resignation but instead offered it Monday night after continuing as an adviser became “untenable.”

 The resignation of the President’s science adviser and director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy comes just one day after it was revealed that he was the subject of an internal investigation.

A complaint was filed under the Executive Office of the President’s Safe and Respectful Workplace Policy. Psaki told reporters early Monday that administration officials warned Lander his behavior was “unacceptable” and that “corrective actions” were required. 

Eric Lander has publicly apologized for his violations of the workplace policies. He stated that his office would create a safe and respectful work environment.
