He was predeceased by : his sister Barbara Donath; and his parents, Thomas Sr. Murtagh and Gertrude Murtagh. He is survived by : his wife Kathy Murtagh; his children, Valerie Altman (Matt) and Thomas Murtagh; his grandchildren, Matthew and Ava Altman; and his sister Joann Lackey (Gene).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 23rd 2022 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hickey Memorial Chapels – Midlothian (4201 147th St, Midlothian, IL 60445). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 23rd 2022 at 7:00 PM at the Hickey Memorial Chapels (4201 147th St, Midlothian, IL 60445).

In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the Andrew Weishar Foundation (Weish4Ever.org) would be greatly appreciated.
