The Inner Harbour, Alderney

There was a great sky last night as I walked down to Braye on the Channel Island of Alderney. This is a part of the 18th Century Inner harbour, with the world's longest breakwater behind. The Inner harbour was used to protect the boats used to build the massive breakwater from the HUGE Atlantic seas that pummel this Island regularly.
