Elis James is a Haverfordwest-born Welsh comedian, presenter, and actor. He was born and raised in Carmarthen and eventually moved to Cardiff. He has relocated to South London.

Carys and Nia are his younger sisters. James’ mother worked alongside Welsh comedian Rhod Gilbert’s father and Welsh musician Euros Childs’ mother.

At Cardiff University, James majored in Modern History and Politics.

James worked in various jobs before becoming a professional comic, including temp work, charity work, and part-time work at a café.

He is bilingual and has performed stand-up comedy in both Welsh and English. In 2006, James received the National Student Radio Awards for Best Comedy.

Suttie is engaged to Welsh comedian Elis James. In 2009, the pair met and began dating in 2010.

They have a daughter, Beti Mair, born in 2014, and a boy, Steffan, born in 2019. They presently live in Crystal Palace, South London.

Suttie was born in Hull and raised in Matlock, Derbyshire, to an English mother and a Scottish father. Her mother is a devout Jew.

She has always wanted to act and write since she was a child. After being denied saxophone lessons, she began playing the guitar and creating songs at twelve. As a teenager, she was a member of Infinite Drift, a progressive music band.

She went to Matlock’s Highfields School.
