Reportedly, Chris Soules was in a car crash near his Iowa farm in April 2017, and the 40-year-old has spoken out about the incident and its heartbreaking aftermath. Earlier, the photos from the accident flooded cyberspace and gained media attention.

As per the patrol, the tractor rolled and went into a ditch on one side of the road while Chris Soules’ pickup drove into a ditch.

The tractor driver was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead. Later, he was Kenneth Mosher, a 66-year-old farmer from Aurora, identified by the patrol.

Soules was not hurt in the crash and departed the scene before emergency authorities arrived according to the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office. Later, he was arrested at his residence in Arlington, about 10 miles (16 kilometers) north of Aurora and 75 miles (120 kilometers) north of Iowa City.

Initially, Chris Soules gained national prominence as a contestant on “The Bachelorette” in 2014, when he sought but failed to win the heart of star Adi Dorfman.

Soules was a big favorite, and ABC brought him back the following year as “The Bachelor.” His visit brought attention to farming and some of the challenges rural Iowa faces

At the end of ”The Bachelor” (season 19), he proposed to Chicago fertility nurse Whitney Bischoff; however, their relationship ended shortly after the show.

Since then, Soules has worked in farm real estate and investing and served as a spokesman for numerous agricultural interests.

In 2017, Chris Soules was apprehended approximately five hours after the disaster and brought into the Buchanan County prison on a charge of fleeing the scene of a deadly accident, which involves a five-year jail sentence.

According to jail officials, Soules was released around noon on a $10,000 bail and will be compelled to relinquish his passport and wear a digital tracking ankle bracelet until his trial.The sheriff’s office is still thoroughly investigating the collision, and further actions may be taken.┬áSean and Molly Spellman, Chris’ lawyers, did not immediately answer message-seeking comments. Soules was “devasted” to learn of Mosher’s death, said his spokesperson, Stan Rosenfield.
