Cavonte Dimsdale Death: 18-year-old identified as victim of Toronto Homicide
The victim of Toronto’s 23rd homicide has been identified by the police as 18-year-old Cavonte Dimsdale.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the Mount Olive Dr.-Kipling Ave. neighborhood, at 6 p.m., on Saturday, April 30, 2022.

upon arrival, Officers found a victim with serious gunshot injuries. He was rushed to a hospital, where medical personnel pronounced him dead.
A second shooting victim was found nearby at a community center. That 18-year-old man was suffering from critical gunshot injuries. He was taken to hospital.

The deceased victim has been identified as 18-year-old Cavonte Dimsdale. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

No arrest has been made, the motive of the shooting is still unknown.

Police are looking for dash-cam or video footage from the area and ask anyone who was in the vicinity at the time of the shootings to contact them.
